$Vn ---- Erweiterte ISDN-Meldungen
Das $V beeinflusst grundsätzlich das Format aller Modemmeldungen. Im Gegensatz zu \V, das nur die CONNECT-Meldungen erweitert, werden hier auch Meldungen, wie RING, erweitert. Der Wertebereich für $V liegt zwischen "0"-"15", wobei die gewünschten Parameter bitweise abgearbeitet werden. Die Summe der zu setzenden Elemente ergibt die Eingabe für das Kommando. Die Standardvorgabe ist "0".

ALERTING bei der Wahl verwenden
Die ALERTING Meldung informiert bei ISDN Gegenstellen darüber, dass der Ruf die Gegenstelle erreicht hat.
